How does pricing work?

When considering the purchase of a delightful feline companion, it is important to understand the payment structure involved. To secure your chosen kitten, an initial reservation fee of $500 is required for homes without breeding intentions. This fee not only demonstrates your commitment to bringing a new furry family member into your home but also ensures the exclusivity of reserving that particular kitten for you. It signifies that no other individual will be able to reserve the same kitten, providing you with peace of mind and the knowledge that your future companion is eagerly awaiting your arrival.

For those interested in breeding rights, the payment process is slightly different. Along with the initial reservation fee, an additional 15% of the total cost of the kitten is due in accordance with the purchase agreement/contract. This payment structure enables breeders to embrace their passion, as they contribute to preserving and improving the breed. By investing in breeding rights, you become part of the responsible and dedicated community that strives to maintain the exceptional qualities and characteristics of these beautiful creatures.

It is important to note that the reservation fee is non-refundable. This policy ensures that your chosen kitten is securely held for you and that no other prospective adopter can lay claim to the same furry friend. Additionally, it acts as a safeguard, preventing any potential disappointment in the event of your change of heart or unforeseen circumstances.

When the time comes to welcome your new kitten into your home, the outstanding balance, along with any applicable sales tax and delivery fees, will be due. This can be settled at the time of pick-up or, in the case of delivery, two days prior to the scheduled arrival of your feline companion.

We hope this clarifies the payment process and provides you with the necessary information to proceed confidently with your decision. We are here to assist you throughout the entire adoption process, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Do you have retired cats?

We do occasionally have a retired Maine Coon from our program, which frees up some space in the old wallet. While kittens are undeniably adorable, it’s important to remember that there are also older/retired cats who make wonderful companions.

Older cats have a lot to offer! They are often calmer and more settled, making them a great choice for someone who wants a more relaxed and low-maintenance pet. Additionally, older cats usually come with some life experience, which means they are often familiar with household routines.

By adopting an older cat, you are not only providing them with a devoted loving home, but also freeing up space in the cattery for other cats and kittens. Plus, adopting a retired cat is a more affordable option, as their adoption fees are significantly lower than those of kittens.

So, if you’re considering adding a feline companion to your family, don’t overlook the wonderful older Maine Coons waiting for their forever homes. Adopting a retired cat can bring joy, companionship, and a sense of fulfillment all the same.
