Hello there. I am Sarah, and it will be very nice to meet y’all when I do.
First, I am a mother to four beautiful daughters and a nurse at the hospital. I’ve been a mom for 26 years and in the medical field for 24 years. I love every minute of it and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
I have always been a cat fancier, I loved them since I can remember. I would always prefer a cat over a dog when I was a youngster, but I did have both. As we have both now as well.
When did I fall in love with this breed? My sister introduced this breed to me in 2018. I got my first Maine Coon cat in 2018 as well. Big Boss. Oh man, was he amazing or what! He became not only my best friend but my grandsons and my domestic cats (which I still have. Ollie.) best friend as well. He was a protector! If he heard a vehicle outside the house, he ran to the door and talked, jumped on the couch and paced it while looking out the window. He knew if my grandson or myself was upset, he would come give us loves until we smiled. Which, of course, with his love, it didn’t take long. I went out of town once and when I got back, he hugged me and laid on my lap for hours. We missed each other so much. Then it wasn’t long before I found out he had GI Lymphoma. I tried treating it and gave steroids as long as we could, but my Boss was miserable and as much as it hurt I could not make him suffer more for my own wants. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, letting him go. It still hurts. However, I know he is still with us in our hearts.
After losing Boss, I was terrified to get another Maine Coon cat, only because I was so scared to love another like I did him, but when I was thinking about it again, I thought what an opportunity it would be to be able to raise them and provide these beautiful souls to other people. So, my sister and I talked and worked all the the things out and here I am, providing loving companions to others. It is definitely a dream come true, all thanks to my sister! I wouldn’t be here without her and I give special thanks to her!
I want to continue to grow and continue to spread the love of this spectacular breed for many years!
