Big Boss Koonz
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we have ceased all breeding in our program as of 06/01/2024.
Update as of December 19, 2024
As life has progressed, we talked about starting back up and did a lot of research on different breeds of cats. I have been looking to add the Sphynx family into my breeding program for more than 2 years. I absolutely love their demeanor, temperament, and unique look, much like the Maine coons.
After much thought and consideration, we have decided to work with Sphynx family, including Elf Sphynx, Dwelf Sphynx, and Bambino Sphynx. So as of 11/17/2024 we brought home our first female, a Bambino Sphynx– Takuma Hairless Galaxy – “Takuma”. We then, turned around on 12/16/2024 and brought home our first male, an Elf Sphynx– Leonardo the Magnificent – “Leo”.
These two Sphynx cats can genetically produce the Standard Sphynx, Elf Sphynx, Dwelf Sphynx, and Bambino Sphynx. So, we could possibly have a wide variety of the Sphynx family within our first litter. However, that is not a guarantee, as you know how life works lol. So, it may take us multiple litters to grow our program. We will not be keeping any males, only females; and then we will be investing in our second male to provide appropriate husbandry to our new females.
Now, I’m sure you are wondering about the Maine coon cats. Yes, I miss my coon babes dearly! My significant other cannot handle the hair they throw off while in heat and/or mating (as this is normal due to hormones). But I have finally convinced him to lead toward adding back in the Maine Coons. This will be at a later date, and I will update via our new website, Facebook, and Instagram.
As a reminder, we perform DNA health testing and echocardiograms on our Sphynx cats, to ensure that their heart is healthy and are free from genetic health issues. This is so we can provide the highest quality and healthiest kittens as possible to you. We will also be performing these tests on the Maine Coon cats when we add those into our loving home.
